LAND
3.3 million acre Glacier Bay National Park

We will travel through the largest national forest in the United States - home to grizzly bears, black bears, mountain goats, bald eagles and wolves. On our way to view Alaska's massive glaciers, we enter some of the world's deepest fjords. In the still of the evening, we watch bears ambling along wild shorelines. And everywhere in the swirling currents below, the world's largest mammals and the great whales forage in bountiful waters along the sheltered coastline. Our extended time exploring nature's hideaways may reveal humpback whales exploding as a group out of the depths in a feeding phenomenon called "bubblenetting”.
We meet Alaska and its wildlife at eye level. This is one of the most in-depth explorations of remarkable Glacier Bay.
And that's only the beginning...
We will also experience Alaska's interior on a fully customized land excursion.
SEA

We have permission of the National Park Service to Yacht Cruise in Glacier Bay!
We will ply the waters of this glacial wonderland for two days as a part of our Alaska cruise.
More than a protected area in the wilderness of Alaska, Glacier Bay is also recognized internationally as a Biosphere Reserve, established in 1986 under the United Nations Man and the Biosphere Program. In 1992 Glacier Bay became part of an international World Heritage Site, along with neighbouring Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.
Now, The Inspired Traveller wants to take you there. A relaxed tour with kayaking and hiking opportunities could reveal moose, wolves, marmot, pine marten, bears and other wildlife rarely seen by other travellers in Glacier Bay.
OUTPOSTS

The state capital, Juneau is one of the most beautiful cities in Alaska. Downtown Juneau hugs the side of Mount Juneau and Mount Roberts and is a maze of narrow streets running past a mix of new structures, old storefronts and quaint houses featuring early 19th century architecture left over from the town’s early gold mining days.
Between the mountains and the sea, almost in the centre of Alaska, lies Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, yet no stranger to the wilderness. There is no other city like it. Among the northernmost cities on Earth, Anchorage is a place with big-city amenities; fine
restaurants, museums, theatres and an excellent music scene.

WILDLIFE LAND & SEA

The Alaskan Brown Bear is one of the largest living carnivores, some which can weigh over 1600 pounds but it is not as ferocious as a Grizzly Bear. At full running speed, an Alaskan Brown Bear can reach a pace of 35 kilometres per hour, leaving their prey very little chance of escaping these massive animals.
Alaskan Brown Bears are in the same species as the Grizzly Bear but they are larger as they have a food intake which consists of rich seafood. Seeing these incredible animals in the wild is an experience of a lifetime which one will never forget. Many of the waterways during the salmon's spawning will keep the bears entertained while feeding and the presence of humans has very little impact on them.
